Hi Brendan,

One of the core debates I notice these days in “spiritual and enlightenment circles” and also amongst teachers is the postulation that enlightenment, or becoming directly conscious of Absolute Truth (God, Absolute Consciousness, whatever have you) only being possible via experience, the relative world, or duality. Which, as far as I can tell so far for myself, Nonduality or The Absolute is not experience or duality. However, would it be correct or true to say (I say “say” because I still don’t know if “know” would genuine knowledge) that the Absolute can only be realized via the relative world. I’ve heard it put it poetically by teachers that “The Absolute needs the relative in order to know itself”. Of course, this is an expression. Would you say this is true? Would appreciate your take. Hope you are well, keep kicking ass.

    Kieran,
Thanks for the post. I think the most powerful thing would be for you to use this query to push you to become more and more conscious yourself.

I can say that the absolute doesn't "need" anything in order to be. :)

    Keep considering.

    Warmly,
    Brendan
