Hi Brendan,
Hope you’re doing well.
I’ve been wondering about the need for distraction. A very real sense of loneliness seems to lie behind this drive. By being distracted, perhaps I get to run away from what’s real, present and mundane. In our culture, distraction seems to be intensely pursued, almost to the point of being an addiction. How come?
Why do I need distraction? What is this dynamic about?
